



Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions will be deemed to have been accepted by you when placing an order with HipTwist and shall prevail over any other document or communication.
1. Ordering and Cancellation
Your order will be considered to have been placed after your completed order form and payment has been received by HipTwist.
You should order all of your required stationery items at the outset to ensure that we book space in the diary closer to your Wedding date for production of On the Day items. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that we will have availability should you wish to subsequently add to your order.
Where you do not have precise numbers for On the Day items at the time of ordering, approximate numbers should be used. These can be adjusted up to 25% each way once you know your final guest numbers and your final invoice is prepared.
If you wish to cancel your order within 24 hours of the order being placed, 95% of the order value will be refunded. If an order is cancelled after this time, no refund will be given.
2. Payment
Payment for items is required before they are dispatched. Where In Advance items
and On the Day items are ordered, we require up front payment for In Advance items
together with a £50 deposit for On the Day items. This £50 deposit is non-
It is your responsibility to ensure that payments are made to the correct account as stated on our quote and correspondence.
HipTwist is not responsible for contacting customers/potential customers to inform them that a payment has not yet been received unless the customer contacts HipTwist to confirm that their payment has been made and to let HipTwist know when to expect to receive it.
Payment must be made in a timely manner. In the event of late payment, the lead time will be pushed back accordingly.
3. Lead Times
The lead time for Invitations is normally 4-
Lead times for On the Day stationery is approx. 15 working days from receipt of final balance payment. You must therefore send payment and details for On the Day stationery a minimum of 15 working days before your Wedding date.
It is your responsibility to ensure that information for On the Day stationery is supplied to HipTwist at the correct time. HipTwist shall not be responsible for contacting you to ask for this.
The lead times quoted shall run from the date that you have supplied to HipTwist all of the following:
a) payment;
b) approval of proof/sample wording (for invitations);
c) any other required wording for stationery items e.g Menus; and
d) guest list (if applicable).
For urgent orders, a quicker delivery timescale may be agreed. In such circumstances, the lead times above shall not apply.
4. Delivery
Deliveries will be sent to your invoice address, unless we are informed of a different delivery address at the time of ordering. Deliveries will need to be signed for upon receipt.
Orders may occasionally be completed within a few days of ordering . If you are going to be away at any time during the 4 weeks after ordering you should inform HipTwist so that these periods can be avoided for delivery.
You must make all reasonable endeavours to accept deliveries from HipTwist. If the
courier attempts to deliver your parcel and leaves a ‘While you were out’ card but
you do not contact them to arrange re-
The Lead Times quoted above and any delivery estimate given is an estimate only. On very rare occasions, delays caused by a 3rd party delivery agent or delays in obtaining materials from suppliers may cause the estimated delivery date to be pushed back . HipTwist cannot accept responsibility for this, but will keep you informed of progress.
HipTwist cannot guarantee delivery on any particular date. If you require stationery to arrive on a particular date we will do our best to arrange the delivery accordingly but cannot guarantee this.
To allow us to put together ‘On the Day’ stationery in plenty of time, and avoid problems in the case of any delay by a 3rd party delivery agent, we require you to send us the information for this stationery (e.g. guest list/menu details) a minimum of 15 working days before your Wedding date. If we receive the information after this deadline, we cannot guarantee that your items will be delivered in time for your Wedding.
If you require your stationery before your Wedding Date , you must inform HipTwist of this a minimum of 15 working days weeks before the date that it is required, and ideally at the time of ordering.
If you send us all required wording and approvals in accordance with the timescales above, HipTwist guarantees that your stationery will be sent on a service that ensures that they arrive before your Wedding date. However, cannot be liable for any subsequent delays on the part of a 3rd party delivery agent.
IMPORTANT: HipTwist cannot be responsible for delays in delivery due to circumstances out of our control, such as postal strikes or adverse weather conditions. HipTwist shall not be liable for any losses, damages or expenses incurred by the customer arising out of any delays in delivery or damage or loss during transit.
5. Proofs
If you place an invitation order without receiving a sample, HipTwist shall send

If you have received an invitation sample, HipTwist will not normally send a further electronic proof but instead the sample shall be treated as the proof and you will instead be asked to confirm whether you are satisfied with the wording/font/layout etc.
You are responsible for checking all wording, spelling, grammar and punctuation on proofs and samples to ensure that it is correct. You will be required to confirm this
when you place your order. Once confirmation/approval is received, no alterations can be made.
Any amendments required after the wording has been approved will incur an additional charge.
No proofs will be supplied for stationery other than invitations, unless specifically requested.
6. Supply of Information
You are responsible for ensuring that all information sent to HipTwist is correct. This includes spellings of guest names for invitations, table plans and any other items.
Printing of stationery may begin immediately after the information/guest list is received, and therefore no amendments can be accepted after such information is sent to HipTwist.
7. Refunds
As all stationery is personalised, we regret that we cannot offer refunds.
Any defects or errors with goods must be reported to HipTwist by email within 48 hours of the goods being received by the customer. After 48 hours, the goods will be deemed to have been accepted by you.
In the event that the error reported is a typographical error by HipTwist (i.e it differs from the guest list or wording supplied by the customer) HipTwist shall replace the item(s) affected. In these circumstances you may be required to return the item(s), in original packaging, if requested to do so by HipTwist. HipTwist will either arrange for the package to be collected by a courier or shall ask you to return it by Royal Mail and reimburse you for the postage cost. Replacement items shall be sent out as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: Reprints or refunds will not be made if the goods contain errors but are as ordered by you. It is therefore vital that you ensure that the information and guest names given to HipTwist are correct. HipTwist accepts no responsibility for checking your spellings and is not responsible for running a spell check on stationery wording.
8. Prices
The prices of goods are listed on our website and exclude delivery. HipTwist reserves the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.
Quotes remain valid for a period of 6 months from the date on the quote and shall not be affected by any price increases during this period.
9. Website
HipTwist makes every effort to ensure that all information contained on our website is correct and to ensure that the descriptions and images are a true representation of our products. However HipTwist shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions on the website.
Materials and colours cannot always be accurately displayed on a computer screen, we therefore recommend that you order a sample to ensure a precise colour match before placing an order.
10. Variations
As all of our stationery is made by hand, very slight variations between items is natural. We take great care to keep variations between items in each order to an absolute minimum.
We reserve the right to substitute materials for similar products should materials become unavailable, however we will always inform the customer if we need to substitute a product for one that is significantly different to the one pictured/described on our website.
11. Copyright and Data Protection
HipTwist will not share your personal details with any third party and will not send you any marketing material.
HipTwist reserves the right to use images of your stationery on our website.
All stationery designs on our website are the sole property of HipTwist and shall not be copied or reproduced in whole or in part, whether for business or personal use. Any infringement of copyright of our designs shall be vigorously pursued and will result in legal action.
All images and text on this website are the property of HipTwist (unless otherwise credited) and must not be copied or reproduced without prior consent.
It is your responsibility to obtain the correct copyright permission for hymns, readings or pictures to be included in their stationery. You agree to indemnify HipTwist against any action for breach of copyright of such items.
12. Safety
Our stationery is not intended for use by children as the small embellishments used may represent a choking hazard if detached. Please keep out of reach of children and babies.
13. Force Majeure
HipTwist shall not be responsible for any delays or failure to perform its obligations if such delay or failure is caused by events or circumstances beyond its control. This includes but is not limited to acts of God, war, fire, strikes, failure of communications or computer systems, shortage or unavailability of raw materials, or extreme weather.
In such circumstances HipTwist shall use reasonable endeavours to perform its obligations as soon as is reasonably practicable but accept no liability to compensate you for any loss or inconvenience arising from such delay or failures described above.
14. Responsibility and Storage of Stationery
Liability for loss and damage of products passes to you upon delivery or on the date
of the first attempted delivery by the courier or Royal Mail.
You are responsible for performing a final check of names and details on stationery before items are used or sent out to guests.
It is your responsibility to ensure that invitations are sent to the correct guests. In some cases this will involve untying a ribbon or removing a band from around the invitation.
Once stationery is received by you, it is your responsibility to ensure that it remains in good condition. Stationery should be stored flat where possible, and in any event must be stored in a dry environment at room temperature. If exposed to damp or very hot/cold conditions, stationery may become bent or damaged and this is not a fault of the product.
